Here’s a nice article about feng shui in home design, Wabi Sabi House. I am putting it up here as a fun informational piece. Feng shui is “the 2,000-year-old Chinese system of siting and designing healthful, harmonious, and auspicious spaces, and reducing less favorable environmental impacts.” The article is from our local monthly events magazine, the Chronogram, and is beautifully done – always with excellent writing.
The home looks very serene, not necessarily mid modern, but with very clean lines and an understated elegance.
BTW, I own a slab of wood, (I believe it’s oak) much like the one that they have as their headboard. I wonder if there are energetic reasons for this. I would never have thought of using mine in this way, (we sometimes use it as a bench), and now…hmm…what could the reasons be? This feng shui is quite intriguing!
Hope that you enjoy! Wabi Sabi House
